SYSTEM OVERVIEW

Peter Green Haulage, in partnership with Data Driven Logistics, provide a customised suite of warehouse, transportation, EDI, and reporting systems to control and record all stock movements before receipt and after despatch. In addition to the standard functionality offered by today’s standard WMS and TMS systems the following processes and controls have been integrated which support the speed and accuracy of receipt and order turnaround.

WEB-REPORTING

Information visibility is key to all of our clients. Our online reporting system is simple to use and displays regularly updated stock-holding, receipt and picking data. Clients also have the ability to interrogate their data using a powerful query engine, which enables them to retrieve specific data from a series of information-rich reports.

Further still, the online reporting system offers an interface to view scanned copies of proof-of-delivery (POD) documents from each completed delivery.

EDI / CUSTOMER INTEGRATION

Our systems comprise of a combined suite of DDL and Kewill EDI processors. This enables our clients to post Receipt Pre-Advice and Picking Orders on-demand, and to return a variety of outbound interfaces including Despatch Advice, Stock-holding Snapshots, and Receipt Confirmation. The system also promotes a unique notification system to alert users of potential order amendments so they can be detected prior to picking and load planning.

DATE ROTATION

Key to our warehouse management system are the controls that manage the strict expiry date / lot number rotation rules necessary for the movement of chilled goods. These controls were designed specifically to suit our operation and client base to ensure optimal performance.

TRANSACTIONAL HISTORY

All stock movements into, within, and out of our warehouses are recorded, capturing a high level of detail in order to track and trace the life-cycle of each item that we stock. Detailed historical information is subsequently available in a report format which helps facilitate on-demand audits, RH&D, and also in monitoring Service Levels.

RADIO FREQUENCY

Using a combination of truck-mounted and handheld RF devices, our systems record receipt, picking, internal stock movements, quarantine controls, and also captures despatched product weights, all in real-time. In addition, customer barcodes are scanned on receipt of goods to further increase operational performance.
